strangely appealing: skeleton serving forks

When I spotted these skeleton serving forks over on boing boing I couldn’t decide if they were really cool or just morbid. I know they’d be great for a Halloween party, but at $50 for the set I’d need them to be good all year round. What do you think — creative or creepy? –Erica P.

i think they are cute! but unless you are Bam Margera or live in a gothic castle would it really go with the decor?

Creepy. But if you really want them as a Halloween decoration, see if they go on sale in November. You can scoop them up then and freak out your guests next year!

Definitely cool for Halloween. Definitely creepy for the rest of the year.

    Creative and creepy!

They’d be perfect for a friend of mine who loves Halloween. She spends her entire year planning her Halloween party, and is always on the lookout for this sort of thing.

    Thanks!

Be bold enough to use them year-round! I love creepy stuff like this. It works well when in contrast to an otherwise bright & beautiful place. Reminds me of my favorite feature on Strange Closets, a blog I read frequently. He calls it Decoratus Absurdum. Love it!
