cool neighborhoods: ork posters
I’m a bit of a typography nut these days, my latest obsession being the line of Ork Posters by Jenny Beorkrem. The graphic designer developed the first one when her search for a Chicago neighborhood poster that fit her decor came up empty. I can’t decide if I should go for the Boston “map” (I’m originally from Massachusetts) or stick with my current favorite place in the world, New York City. The posters are available through the Ork Posters website as a professionally printed poster or a screen print ($22 and $27, respectively). Maybe I should just go for both? –Erica P.
I LOVE the look of these and was ready to whip out my wallet for the Chicago version when I realized the neighborhood borders aren’t quite… right. If you don’t live here, it’s probably not that a big of a deal, but most Chicagoans are pretty particular about their neighborhood!
These are pretty cool… except my Seattle neighborhood didn’t apparently make it, poor Skyway.
