Spoonflower has been something of a revelation for me, actually.

I had just started taking my first tentative steps into textile design when I found out it existed. Finally I decided to open a shop on Etsy to sell my patterns - I was making them anyway so rather than have them knocking around my portfolio in secret they could actually see the light of day. My next goal is to offer lots of designs that can be personalized.

It's starting to take off which is so satisfying. Plus I have the added bonus of eventually getting to see what neat stuff people make with my designs! I am so happy that both Spoonflower & Etsy exist to give someone like me a platform.

I've been dying to try this but am so far floundering on what to put on it - it's such a fabulous idea.
