I went through a shabby chic decor phase a few years ago. Lucky for everyone who visits my apartment, it was a brief period of time and it’s over now. (That’s not to say I don’t appreciate a well-worn floral print now and again.) So imagine my surprise when a Rachel Ashwell-themed post at Decor8 included a calendar that jumped right up to first on my wish list. It’s a simple sheet of canvas printed with classic typewriter font in gold. It’s really just the damask border that takes the idea from modern to shabby chic, but somehow it totally works. For $28 you get the calendar, a little red push pin to mark the date, and four gold pushpins to tack it up. -Erica P.
