Plant new salad vegies in the garden
Commit to line-drying the laundry instead of tumble drying

– Paint, paint and more paint. We’ve been in the house 8 years. Would it be easier to just move? : )
– Talk husband into building floor to ceiling bookcase for the living room. I’ll let him leave space for a big flat screen in part of it to make him more agreeable.
- Get some dead trees removed from the yard.
- Plant KnockOut roses around the deck.
– Still trying to figure out a backsplash for behind stove that I can put up with changing the wall.

-get settled into my new apartment (woo hoo!)
-get rid of roughly half of my belongings. seriously, i just have waaay to much stuff.
-put up some sort of backsplash thingie behind my stovetop

Paint my son’s room in “big boy” colors.

Procure artwork for the dining room, the sunroom, the front hall, above the fireplace and maybe a few other spots. Hang said artwork.

Get new bedroom furniture.

Have a new vanity installed in the upstairs bathroom, and have the dreadful black plaid wallpaper in that bathroom ripped down and replaced with a nice, normal paint job.

Have the guest room unwallpapered and repainted.

Put down area rugs in bedroom and living room.

Find a cabinet or table for the entryway.

Plant more flowers in the yard, and probably get some mulch, too.

And, if my son ever stops using the business end of his fork as a percussion instrument on the dining room table, get new dining room furniture. But definitely not before then.

Get my Ikea hanging storage stuff (that I bought right after we moved in September) finally installed.

Start researching our first couch for the apartment

Stencil the walls of our dining room..

Change the decor of our entry hall with each season

Too many resolutions even if limiting to those home-related, but for sure I vow to clear out and paint/finish my very cute, but very small upstairs den, which has mostly been used as a storage room since we moved into the house 7 years ago. Then there is deciding on the design and gathering the material for the guest bathroom remodel scheduled for 8/09 — all in a hopefully stylish and budget-friendly manner. And if I were really ambitious, I’d interview with possible architects to discuss the feasibility of a (someday) major remodel for my home. Yes, I know I’m over-reaching.

Paint the rooms in my house, I’m tired of former owner white

Get the missing sheetrock replaced, (before painting)

Have a work party to put in the laminate flooring in the bedrooms

Finish the curtains for the living room

…all these projects we already have the materials for, just need to get it done!

Find a reliable handy-person who can help me get some minor and somewhat less minor home repairs and changes completed.

Patching drywall, putting in a new bathroom vanity & sink… that sort of thing.

Getting at least one chair and a coffee table for the family room/office would be nice too. When rooms aren’t furnished they tend to become storage areas and place where everyone drops their clutter. I’m tired of working in a storage room.
