dreaming about new spring bedding

It’s too early to think about spring updates, but I’m counting the day to put away our winter bedding and brighten up the bedroom with some fresh cottons. This vintage bird cover and shams at West Elm would do the trick. And at only $120 pretty affordable (especially when compared to the Dwell Chinoiserie cover, I also love). Do any of you have experience with West Elm bedding? How does it feel? Does it wash well (i.e. get softer)? — Angela M.

I’m SO excited to update my bedroom with spring bedding (although unfortunately it may be awhile…
I have my eye on this modern bedding by Inhabit. It is soooo soft!!!
I’m actually not very familiar with West Elm and would be interested in hearing everyone’s responses!

I owe this set last year and I am glad to see they still carry it. I have the duvet cover and pillow shams and I love them, now I can order the sheets too!

I bought a West Elm linen duvet in a dusty blue-gray color called “Rain.” I always wash carefully – cold water, gentle/short cycle, woolite, etc – but the color didn’t stand up to laundering. And not in a nice way, like a cozy all over fade, but in a blotchy, patchy way. I wasn’t impressed. But an all white/cream set hopefully wouldn’t have that problem. Aside from the color issue, the linen did get softer.
