awwww! i would so get a silhouette of my pet bunny rabbit! i would frame it and keep it on my mantle. he’s black and kind of looks like a silhouette already anyway.

Whoa, such a cool idea! These always make me think of The Simpsons, how Principal Skinner’s mom made him pose for silhouette drawings, even as an adult, and she had a wall full of them. I’ve been meaning to sketch one of my son foreeeeverrrr, as I want to start a “through the years” section on the wall. I sound like such a grandma.

I just last week hung up the silhouettes of my brother and myself from childhood. They hung at my mom’s forever, but have been in a box since she passed away two years ago…took a while to figure out how to make some of her things work with my things…I love how a silhouette is the bare bones, stripped down essence of a person.

How darling silhouettes are and always will be! My mother had my brother and me as toddlers in her bathroom. I used to watch her get ready and laugh at the silly baby ponytail that stuck straight up from my silhouette head. I never saw my mom leave the room without touching her finger to the ponytail and turning to wink at me as I followed her out. I’m still known for my wacky ponytails around the house, which my mother loves. Would love to give her another ponytail silhouette – maybe stick on the mirror for fun! (I assume my brother would insist on equal adult silhouette billing too…)

I think a sihouette would make a lovely keepsake for my nieces upcoming first communion. I would get one done of her with her veil on that she could hang in her room. My husband and I just got back from vacation, and every day we’d ask each other what we thought our 7-month-old yellow Lab, Tank, was up to. It’s embarassing how crazy we are about him. I’d love a silhouette of our handsome puppy to hang in our kitchen, where Tank barks at squirrels in the backyard from the safety of the back door.
I was obsessed with silhouettes about a year ago and even tried to do it myself with photoshop, which turned out to be a disaster. It would amazing to get a lovely silhouette.
