1000 markets: etsy has a new rival

There’s a new indie marketplace on the block. 1000 Markets is the latest to enter the world of selling arts and crafts online. According to The Chic & Green Blog, CEO Matt Trifiro designed 1000 Markets to foster a community. Instead of individual stores, sellers are grouped according to themes. “Every Market has its own management structure and policies,” he says. “Some are run by a single dedicated member. Others are entirely cooperative.” Check out Chic & Green for the entire interview — it’s interesting and worth a look. And of course, visit 1000 Markets here. –Mary T.

Thanks for the mention. 1000 Markets is a wonderful place. When I interviewed the CEO in March, I had NO idea that it would lead me to take a chance by closing my own dot com to open a shop over there. It’s really a great community there–with community being the key word :)
Thanks for the intro. I’ll check out for sure.
