I bought an (organic) natural latex crib mattress for my kid. My husband and I also sleep on one and I find them really really really comfy. Plus there's the whole lack of chemical fire retardants. I hope to use the crib mattress for a second child and then pass it on to someone else to use, so I don't feel too bad about the price.

The only thing that drives me nuts about the mattress is that it is both floppy and heavy. Changing sheets in the crib is no fun. Overall I'm happy with the mattress, but when it comes down to it, it's just a mattress. Heck, for all I know I slept on an asbestos mattress in a lead-painted crib and so far I'm doing okay...

Maybe not even that long. We ditched the crib (and the crib mattress) in favor of a twin bed right at 2 years old. Start researching your big-girl beds for Isadora now!
