upcycle ottoman: this time, coffee helps you relax

This stylish and eco-friendly foot rest is made using repurposed, fair-trade coffee bags. Since the upholstery is recycled, each ottoman is completely unique. Gus Design Group is located in Canada, but their goods are available through dealers across the United States. Their products definitely aren’t cheap, but they sure are inspiring! — Erica P.

oh, but does it smell like coffee?
I think that would be a bonus, but I suppose it might be annoying.
A neat look too.

I love it! I’ve actually got a couple projects kicking around my brain featuring coffee bags, but the ottomans are great. I may make slipcovers for my old IKEA klippan ottomans out of them!

There’s no coffee odor to the upholstery. The jute fibers don’t seem to absorb scent the way more traditional materials do.

This is something very unique and completely different very clever thinking on the designers part.
