We all get together for a simple weenie roast (no charcoal or lighter fluid). This is usually done after limb clean up and yard work ;-) Great incentive! It’s fun and it’s like camping at home.
My Dining room is orange yellow and red. That snack set is awesome.
My favorite thing to do in the summer is gather all my friends together for our annual sand volleyball tournament. We grill out, swim in the pond and of course, play sand volleyball. Some people bring their dogs and the kids are everywhere. It’s the best day all summer. And we have so much fun!
I love eating outside on the deck all summer long (except when it’s raining. Its like having another room in the house–one that’s easy to clean up!

One of my favorite things is waking up early on the weekend mornings and reading outside. It’s so quiet and peaceful. I could probably stay there all day, but I start to get hungry, hee hee.

The kids love eating outside whenever they can, and we like to grill, run around… run in the sprinklers. But a favorite activity is playing “ladder golf” with the whole family.
I love to read a good book by the pool, take a dip, and then cool off with a snowcone or a fun drink garnished with fruit.

Love to just go outside and play with my kids without having to spend time putting on eighteen layers of outerwear. And running outside on a nice summer morning is fantastic.
One of my favorite events to attend every summer is a Shakespeare In The Park festival at our local Arboretum. Its so much fun to gather all my friends together for a picnic, some wine & a play!

I love cold suppers on my Brooklyn roof deck. If I didn’t share it with a few dozen neighbors, I would move most of my daily operations to the roof for the duration of the season.
I love riding a bike, going for a swim, and reading a good book, preferably all in the same day.
i love camping and boating – we have yet to spend a whole weekend at the house this summer, and that’s just the way we like it! :)

Cute! I always loved going to the beach for a barbecue and a bonfire in the summer. We used to live on an island, and it was so fun. Now I live inland, so it’s a bit harder to get to the beach, but we make due with the local park. :)

I love grilling outside on the grill and relaxing with friends over a tasty meal — steaks or chops, grilled corn, skewered veggies — and glasses of crisp white wine. Oh, and you gotta have great conversation!

We bought an inexpensive projector (the kind you attach a DVD player too) and some cheap speakers from the computer store and a shower curtain liner and we have a BYOB movie night in the backyard every couple of weeks. All family and friends come and hang out in lawn chairs and on blankets!

I would love to win the orange/yellow set for my sister! I love how it stays light outside until 9:30 at night (at least here in Western Washington), we can stay outside late and go to lots of parks.

My husband and I enjoy packing up the dog and the camera, aiming the GPS in a random direction, and driving. We pack a picnic lunch, snacks, and water, and take in whatever we happen to hit in that direction. We have found some great things to do this way… shopping, attractions, markets, you name it. And every trip is different, with a different experience every time!
Travel…locally and a bit further. Day trips a cool. Back road travel and unexpected stops to road side curiosities. Very cool.
I like green and they’d be a nice way to take snacks to the adirondack chairs on the porch where I quite like reading on lazy summer days.
Theatre in the Park: lawn chairs, picnic, good friends, and a show. Can’t get any better than that.
The beach! We go with friends every Tuesday, all summer long. The kids love to boogie board and throw seaweed at each other, while we dissect the latest Tour de France stages.
I love to play badminton + bocce ball!
My favorites are picnics, tennis, croquet, hiking, long walks in the early evening, bike rides, going to the beach, etc.
I love going camping! I can’t wait to head up to an island on Lake George next week and spend time grilling, boating, swimming and reading in the sun!

For me, nothing is more summer-like than walking down our local trail with our pup and people-watching over dinner.
