strangely appealing: exercise ball chair

A friend was joking (I think) about buying this exercise ball chair, the Sitness 5 by Topstar, from Overstock.com. Now, I can see the appeal of wanting to sit on something at work that looks like a chair rather than an exercise ball. But the truth is, when I’m sitting, I just want to sit — no exercise ball or Hawaii Chair for me. Anyone use something similar to this at work? –Mary T.

My wife is nine months pregnant — yes, nine months; any day now… — and she loves sitting on an exercise ball. Great for her back. I’d imagine that’s true for a lot of people, just more pronounced for her.
I have a different exercise ball chair and I LOVE it. I have lower back problems and this chair has really helped.

I also use the Gaiam Ball at work. I was suffering some serious upper back and shouler pain and since I’ve been sitting in that (over a year now) it has gone away. Beautiful thing.
I use one at work, but not for the entire day. I usually sit on it during breaks and there are others who roll theirs into the conference room for meetings (so I don’t feel as weird!)
