Figs with Goat Cheese and Honey
6-8 fresh figs, trimmed and halved
2 ounces goat cheese
1 spring fresh thyme, leaves stripped and minced
1 Tablespoon honey
Preheat broiler. Arrange the figs in an ovenproof dish cut-side-up.
In a small bowl, mix together the goat cheese and thyme leaves. If your goat cheese is of the drier, crumbly variety, quickly warm it in the microwave for a few seconds to soften. Drizzle the figs with the honey, then spoon a dollop of the goat cheese onto each.
Broil figs 3-4 inches from the heat source, until goat cheese begins to brown and bubble slightly, about 5 minutes.

This may be a silly question, but I’m going to ask anyway. You can eat the skin of the fig, right? This recipe looks delicious…I’m going to give it a try!
Yes, you can.
Blue cheese would be great with these too! Yum.
Love, Love, Love! figs and this recipe! only 4 ingredients..perfect!
That looks yummy. Seems like a great combo! I’ll have to e-mail this to my friend who is having a house-warming party. Or better yet, I should bring that. :)
You are making me hungry, this is one of my favourite things in the world!
These are delish! I had a dinner party the other night and for dessert I just sliced figs in half and put them in the oven for five minutes. Then I put little bowls of honey, balsamic vinegar, goat cheese, and blue cheese on the table and let everyone make their own combos. It was a lot of fun and a big hit!
I’ve made something very similar, but added proscuitto (which I think just makes everything better). Leave figs whole and cut an x in the top, stuff with goat cheese, wrap with a proscuitto slice, drizzle with honey, then broil. Super simple, yummy, and impressed my friends!
