site we’re psyched about: stilltasty.com

Should you drink milk after the sell-by date? Can you freeze raw eggs? Does vinegar ever go bad? How long should you hang onto that opened jar of salsa? StillTasty to the rescue! This comprehensive site tells you what’s safe to eat, what you should probably pitch, and how to get the most life out of your foodstuffs. We love it. See it all here.

I LOVE THIS. Answer to my prayers.
Nice site. I enjoyed reading it, but I have kept some of the stuff that posts claims should only be kept 2-3 day, as long as 5-6 days. Did the tests and found no difference in taste, and don’t believe there was a bacteria problem.
On the other hand, I don’t think companies should be allowed to put so much preseratives, mainly salt, into their products, It is a known fact that though necessary to our diet, too much salt is not good for us.
Thank you though, the site is absolutely necessary, especially for young people who hopefully one day, live and cook, much healtier.
I know so many don’t want to hear this, but; God Bless You.
