92%! Probably not because I know Donald Judd furniture, but have plenty of experience with the cheap stuff!

ellobie

100% and yeah, Sprout, recognized most of the cheap stuff from having spent way too much time in box stores. The Donald Judd items almost always used more material than necessary – no way would Target or WalMart waste extra “wood” if they can help it!

Fun! I got a 100%! On that leaning tiered bookshelf, the color of the wood was a dead giveaway to me. It just looked like everything in Wally World. Great post.

Ellie

100%, and now happy to know I’m not the only one that is so familiar with the big box style.

j

I got 100% and had never heard of the guy.

Mary T

Ha, you guys are doing a lot better than me. A few of the items I could instantly tell, but there are one or two (not saying which) that I took a guess on and lost! I think it’s really a fun way to think about both what’s important about design and what may not be.

SMB

I missed two, thinking Donald’s was the cheap stuff. Sorry, Donald. :)

Sarah

Don’t know Donald, clearly. 72% : )

I got the first 2 wrong but nailed the others.

Megan B.

I also got 100%- but there were a couple I thought were tricks…

Cathy

Hee… 100% for me, too. There’s just something about the wal-mart stuff. I don’t know. I can tell. But then I’ve always been the type to gravitate to the most expensive thing in the store.

100% that was a cinch…I think the key is that if something looks cheap it won’t be from Wal-Mart since they are trying to sell products that look more designer for the masses and vice versa.

Bianca

100% for me, too. clearly i spend too much time on design blogs… i could tell by the wood finishes and colors. big box furniture is of either the basic or the primary color variety.

My score is just only 67%!!!! Wow too low compared to others, but it make me so happy to know the answer.
