100% for me, too. clearly i spend too much time on design blogs… i could tell by the wood finishes and colors. big box furniture is of either the basic or the primary color variety.

100% that was a cinch…I think the key is that if something looks cheap it won’t be from Wal-Mart since they are trying to sell products that look more designer for the masses and vice versa.

Hee… 100% for me, too. There’s just something about the wal-mart stuff. I don’t know. I can tell. But then I’ve always been the type to gravitate to the most expensive thing in the store.

Ha, you guys are doing a lot better than me. A few of the items I could instantly tell, but there are one or two (not saying which) that I took a guess on and lost! I think it’s really a fun way to think about both what’s important about design and what may not be.
