guess the animal in the animal crackers
We picked up some animal crackers at Trader Joe’s the other day. I don’t exactly expect the cookies inside to look like they’re straight out of nature, but…

Seriously, what is that thing? It’s not a bear, because there appears to be another shape that more closely resembles a bear. And it’s not a fluke; there are many in the package that look just like it. The closest I could come is that maybe this is a depressed spider. (It’s missing legs, hence the depression — this made sense to me when I was thinking about it.)
Then I tried inverting it. Does this look familiar to you?

How about now?

This one was more problematic. Your guesses are welcome:

There are also lots of cookies that look just like this, whatever this is:

Hmm, what if we…

Nope. That doesn’t help at all. — Mary T.
Just having fun, Trader Joe’s! You know I love you!

The first picture looks like the back half of a male buffalo. The last cookie looks like a nose-less llama. I personally think these animal crackers are more exciting than the regular type: normal reaction is, “Oh, another bear”, but this way it’s a creative challenge.

the top one kind of looks like an octopus, with it’s tentacles doubled together. maybe?

Fun, the first one is a stumper! The second one reminds me of an elephant (facing right). Last one… maybe a hippo looking up to the sun? Certainly will get the kiddos to use their imaginations!

I’m thinking the first is a hermit crab. The second one is either an elephant, or the product of a horse mating with a proboscis monkey. The last one… headless giraffe?

I would think headless something too, Misty, but every one of them looks like that!

Animal crackers from the Planet Blob.

Yup. Buffalo, elephant, giraffe. I have three children, so I feel like I’m something of an expert in this field.

The first one is an angel fish.
The second one is an elephant wih a swollen nose and the third one is a polar bear looking up at the stars and growling.

It’s like an inkblot test! The first one looks like a moose head to me.

I think the first one is a hermit crab, the second a gorilla, and the third…um, yeah, let’s go with a headless something. Guess those people that like to bite the heads off first will feel like something is missing in their animal cracker experience.

Wow, I like hermit crab. Good thinking!

Top one, totally a hermit crab; )

seeing as it’s Trader Joe’s it is probably a combination of all our favorite animal shapes in one…

the first one looks to me like a headlouse, but it could be a manatee. The second one is probably an elephant and the third one – I’m gonna go with the pack and say headless giraffe.
