I like using separate cutting boards not so much for the usual germy fear, but because I like to know that I’m cutting a pear on a surface that I didn’t cut garlic on last night. We have an “allium-only” board for onions and the like, and that seems to work pretty well.

Misty, I think by the time they are washed and air dry they should be safe — I just toss my cutting boards in a drawer together, so if the germs are still alive, I’m in trouble.

Those are cute and offer a good storage solution, but are they stored all pressed up against each other? I’d still worry about cross-contamination… if I worried about it in the first place. A good cleaning is all I do for my boards.

I must have these cutting boards. Love how they are protected when stored (my cat loves to rub up against/sit on any cutting board on the counter). Plus the clearly marked purpose of each board is so great, especially for me a vegetarian living with carnivores. Thanks
