repelling rodents naturally with fresh cab

My side of town has the nickname “Rat City” for a reason. Needless to say, I’m really thankful for the large feral cats who live in my neighborhood. But what if I want to protect the homestead from pests without harming the sweet furry monsters I want living here? Thankfully, there’s Fresh Cab. Fresh Cab is an EPA -approved, natural, biodegradable, and, best of all NON-TOXIC rodent repellent. Instead of killing your unwanted rodents and forcing you to deal with the unpleasant after-effects, it uses corn cob chips and a particular blend of essential oils to naturally repel the rodents from your home, garage, or wherever you may need it. It almost sounds too good to be true, but their guarantee and testimonials on the site have me intrigued. Does anyone have some first-hand experience with the product before I take the plunge? — Megan B.

That is pretty awesome! I am going to spread this info around because most people think the best way is to just kill them all.
No, but I do use World’s Best Cat litter, made from corn cobs, and I can tell you with certainty that rodents were attracted to it when I stored it in my garage, and chewed through the packaging to give it a try. Luckily, I noticed right away, tossed it, and haven’t stored it in the garage since.
Of course, the litter isn’t mixed with essential oils, but as to the corn cob byproduct, it must have sure smelled good to the rodents.
DJ is right about rodents being attracted to the corn cob chips, although the Balsam Fir essential oil makes Fresh Cab revolting to rodents. We do urge customers to dispose of the pouches once the oils have dissipated and they no longer have a scent, as then the pouches can be an attractant to ravenous rodents.
