weekday diy: anthropologie’s monster gift card holder

They’ve been giving them out for a while now, but last week I enjoyed my first encounter with Anthropologie’s monster-themed gift card holders, and now the only frightening thing is my obsession with them. But can you blame me? The button eyes! The zipper teeth! We’re no strangers to the brand’s special packaging touches (anyone remember 2008’s birthday sewing kit by Lizania Cruz?) and many of them can be recreated at home, including these, thanks to this great tutorial courtesy of Mary Grace of White Waxflower. — Sarah C.

Thanks for the shout-out! Love your blog!
was searching for a picture of this monster & found your site! thanks for the tutorial link!
Hi Sarah,
I cam across your blog while searching for a photo of the Anthropologie gift card holder that has the 2 button eyes. My sister got one of these as a gift for Christmas and it became an extremely sentimental item for her and her long-time boyfriend. They named him ” Mr. Toast” and he has been a part of their travels and many special events among them and their close friends. Is there any chance on earth that you have one of these gift card holders (2 – button eyes) and would be willing to sell it to me???He is also very dear to my sister and her boyfriend as he kept the BF company for a few months while they were going through a very tough separation. Sister and BF are have been very happily back together for a awhile now but unfortunately “Toast” was lost last weekend when we all attended the Coachella Music Festival in Indio CA.
Is there any chance on earth that you have one of these gift card holders (2 – button eyes) and would be willing to sell it to me??? I would be so so grateful if I could surprise my sister and her boyfriend with a “reincarnation” of “Mr Toast”. I know this sounds ridiculous, but it’s just one of those strange, sentimental things in life.
Call or email me if you have the chance and perhaps if you can’t sell, you have an idea where I can get one of these.
