post off: which season is your favorite?

season post off

Fall is supposed to be the bittersweet season. I get that. But for me, it’s the sweetest season of all. I met my husband in the fall. My daughters, as fate would have it, are fall babies. Then there are the warm days and cool nights, fall festivals, caramel apples, candy-colored leaves, college football and my favorite holiday of all — Halloween. I could go on, but I’ll spare you more unabashed gushing over all things fall. So now that we know where I stand — feet firmly planted under a maple tree — let’s hear from you. Which season is your favorite? Why? — Sarah L.

There are some aspects of fall I like, but I definitely prefer spring/summer. I love the days getting longer and longer, lots of bright sunlight that lasts well into the evening, saturated colors, the intense green of young foliage, the smell of mowed grass, fresh flowers and fresh produce, the freedom of wearing shorts and sundresses, summer vacations, gardening, grilling, peach or cherry pie and homemade icecream on the 4th of July…I could go on and on! :)

Fall, and my drive into work reminded me why: The bright, bringht sunshine illuminating the golds, reds, yellows and browns just makes my heart leap with joy.

Fall, followed by Spring. I can’t stand either the heat or cold extremes in summer and winter, so I end up spending more time indoors then.

Fall with it’s still warm days, but cool and crisp mornings and evenings, the fall colors just coming into play, but still having things bloom.

Halloween, my favorite holiday.

Ah… Fall is best!

I didn’t used to be a Fall girl, but I gotta say — I’m getting on the Autumn train these days! I love it when the boots can come out and play, and you can toss a scarf on and be just the right temperature. And let us not forget: the pumpkin spice latte makes its long-awaited return!

After the hot summer Fall is a welcome change. I do love Spring though…love to plant new things.

I am a Summer girl all the way. I love fresh grown produce, cut flowers from a summer garden, sunshine, and the heat!!! Fall is beautiful but it is the harbinger of grey skies and cold weather in northeast Ohio, blechhhhh.

[...] 1) Fall is your favorite. Asking in the height of the season may make us biased, but fall has a lot of fans. SPRING. Fall would be super, if only winter didn’t follow. As such, I just can’t love fall. Also, all things pumpkin flavored are gross.
